One of the ongoing projects we do every year is to make memory books for each of our students. We collect artwork, take pictures, and also make a thematic hand print each month.
Because we have most of our students at least two years, this year we came up with a two-year schedule for the hand prints (so that a student won’t have all of the same hand prints in their multiple memory books).
For September, we made apple hand prints. As you can see, it’s just the palm of the hand, as well as the thumb.
The thumb is supposed to be the worm, but somehow I ended up making them look like Larry the Cucumber from VeggieTales.
He does look happy, that Larry in the apple.
So, Note to Self: Year after next, work on making the worms look more – wormlike. Instead of Larry-like.
